Bell & Howell Filmo № 75 (by John Kratz)

The beautiful Filmo 75 is a 16mm movie camera, produced in Chicago beginning in 1928. It was intended for amateur use, but the quality of its construction makes it easy to see why Bell & Howell cameras were the tools of choice for Hollywood studios in the early days of motion pictures.

Although rather heavy by today’s standards, the 75 was quite compact for its time, and was marketed as a ladies’ camera. Its ornate leather covering was available in Walnut Brown, Ebony Black, and Silver Birch (seen here).

donnie yen’ in diğer filmlerine nazaran, görece daha geri planda kaldığı bir film. ingiliz sömürgesi altında ki hong kong’ ta geleceğin çin halk cumhuriyeti’ ni gerçekleştirebilmek için çinli devrim liderleri bir toplantı yapmaktadır. ancak imparator yanlıları toplantıyı engellemek ve devrimcileri ortada kaldırmak için hong kong polisini satın alır ve ve bölgeye suikastçileri yollar. donnie yen’ in çin tarihinde geçen filmlerine göre en gerçeğe yakın ve tabi ki dövüş sahneleri bol filmidir. aslında gerçek hayattan esinlenen filmi ip man 2 de beklediğim komünist rejime ilişkin bir savaş ve ya eleştiri, bu filmde tam tersi bir devrim güzellemesi olarak gerçekleşiyor.

filmin sonunda bir de potemkin zırhlısı’ nın odessa merdivenleri sahnesi ne gönderme vardır. hatta gözlük detayı bile unutulmadan, bir trajedi gerçekleşir.

I was reading about these in a bicycle book I got, and I was like, IT’S THE BUSTER KEATON ONE. Then they had bikes where the pedals were on the front wheel… And then they made bicycles with different sized wheels.

When he jumps onto the Ordinary, think about how crazy that is, since those things would make you faceplant and die. They were like 5 feet off the ground and people got killed on those things… Then they invented one where the small wheel was in the front so you couldn’t faceplant.
